5kW Vertical Axis Wind Turbine + Solar Hybrid System

10kW Combined Wind–Solar Power for Homes, Farms & Off-Grid Sites

A vertical-axis maglev wind turbine paired with a 5kW solar array and lithium storage — two energy sources that peak at different times, engineered as one complete off-grid power system.

  • Starts generating at just 1.5 m/s wind
  • Near-silent maglev generator, any wind direction
  • Survives 40 m/s (144 km/h) cyclone winds
  • Complete kit: turbine, solar, inverter, storage

Key advantages

Maglev generator — wind other turbines waste

The rotor floats on magnetic suspension instead of conventional bearings, starting at 1.5 m/s and harvesting 10–30% more energy in the 5–8 m/s range typical of coastal and rural sites.

Vertical axis — silent and omnidirectional

Two-blade aerofoil on the aircraft-wing principle: works in wind from any direction without yawing, with noise difficult to measure above ambient and stress concentrated safely at the hub.

Cyclone-grade engineering

40 m/s survival wind speed, electromagnetic brake plus overload dump, IP54 generator, and an operating envelope from −25 °C to +45 °C at up to 4,500 m altitude.

Complete hybrid system

5kW turbine + 6 m tower + wind controller + 5kW solar array + pure-sine MPPT hybrid inverter + lithium BMS storage + mounting and cabling — 10kW of combined capacity, one supplier.

Certified and configurable

CE marked, manufactured under ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 with RoHS and REACH reports. DC bus 12/24/48/96 V, masts to 12 m, battery capacity and blade material to order.

Applications

  • Off-grid homes, farms and lifestyle blocks
  • Coastal and exposed rural properties
  • Remote infrastructure — telecom, pumping, monitoring
  • Island and holiday properties without grid supply
  • Grid-supplement systems reducing drawn units
  • Marine and harbour-side installations

Why GBCORP

  • One point of contract from quotation to commissioning support
  • Specifications stated conservatively — we under-promise by design
  • Audited OEM manufacturing under ISO 9001 / 14001
  • Configuration engineering: voltage, mast, storage and blades to your site
  • Export packing and sea freight to your nearest port, worldwide

Ideal for

  • Rural properties in New Zealand and Australia
  • Farms replacing diesel generation
