ESG & Sustainability Statement
GBCORP's environmental, social, and governance commitments aligned with our Sustainability pillar.
Effective 1 June 2026 · Centrally managed across the GBCORP network
Sustainability is one of GBCORP's six business pillars and a permanent priority of the group since 2012. This Statement summarises our commitments and approach across Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) dimensions.
1) Why ESG Matters to GBCORP
GBCORP has been on the ground in 17 countries for over two decades. We have seen first-hand the scale of carbon emissions, infrastructure imbalance, and social inequity across the developed and developing world. After visiting more than one hundred countries on group business, GBCORP's founder, Mr. Gaurav Bhatia, codified sustainability as a permanent priority — not a department, not an initiative, but a pillar.
2) Environment
Our environmental commitments include:
- Group net-zero by 2040 across Scope 1, Scope 2, and material Scope 3 emissions, with interim milestones validated against the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) framework
- Clean-energy manufacturing — building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), solar glass, bifacial solar facades, and domestic-grade wind turbines, group-engineered and group-installed
- Electric mobility — EV platforms, charging infrastructure, and fleet electrification through the EVs & Solutions division
- Carbon accounting — annual greenhouse-gas inventory across our 17-country footprint, audited externally
- Circular product design — material recovery and end-of-life take-back for our hardware lines
3) Social
Our social commitments include:
- Diverse and equitable workforce — operations across 17 countries, hiring and promotion on merit and contribution
- Worker well-being — modern, safe workspaces; the Business Lounge programme for Elite Members; remote-work flexibility
- Education — GBCORP Education, Academy, and University surfaces invest in the next generation's skills, with a focus on clean-energy and AI literacy
- Supply-chain ethics — see our Modern Slavery Statement for our approach to ethical sourcing
- Community impact — i-Dua, our NGO surface, amplifies sustainability voices, supports climate programmes, and connects communities to the change-makers building solutions
4) Governance
Our governance commitments include:
- Board oversight of ESG performance through quarterly review
- Independent assurance of our annual ESG and sustainability disclosure
- Strong anti-corruption posture through our Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Policy
- Robust data protection through our Privacy Policy and information-security programme
