White Label Education App: A School's Own App in Days
A school app is used by three audiences at once: parents who want to know, students who want to see what is due, and staff who want to stop sending the same message five ways. A white label education app gives each a screen, under the school's own name.

The white label education app is GBCORP’s education platform configured for a school, an academy or a training centre under its own brand: timetable, attendance, homework and grades, announcements and messaging, fees, events and permissions, on iOS, Android and the web, with a console for staff. It is live within days at a flat monthly plan, with student and parent data in a dedicated project in the school’s name and fees settling to its own payment gateway.
Who uses it and what they see
| User | What they see | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Parents | Announcements, timetable, attendance, homework, grades, fees and receipts, permissions, messages with teachers, events | Parent app |
| Students | Timetable, homework and submissions, grades, resources, messages, events | Student app |
| Teachers | Attendance, homework and marking, grades, class messages, resources | Teacher app and console |
| Administration | Enrolment, classes, fees, communications, reports, roles | Console |
One message, every channel
An announcement written once in the console reaches the parent app, e-mail from the school’s domain and, where enabled, SMS or WhatsApp, in the family’s language. Read receipts show who has seen it. Permission slips are signed in the app. The console shows which families still receive messages only by phone, which is the list of who needs help installing the app.
Fees and receipts
Fee schedules per grade and term, instalments, sibling discounts, reminders before due dates, payment in the app through the school’s own gateway, receipts issued automatically and an arrears list for the office. Statements per family for the year. No commission from GBCORP.
Multi-campus groups
A group runs its campuses as tenants in one console: each campus sees its own students and staff, the head office sees all, and branding can be per campus or shared. Reports per campus and combined. Languages and right-to-left layouts are settings, and a group in two countries configures currency and fee rules per market.
Checklist before launch
- Student, parent and staff lists exported from the current system.
- Classes, subjects and the timetable.
- Fee schedules and instalment rules.
- Payment-gateway account in the school’s name.
- A mailbox on the school’s domain for announcements and receipts.
- The three numbers to watch: families active in the app, fees paid on time, messages read within a day.
The numbers to expect
Live within one to five working days on the web, store listings after review, a flat monthly plan. Integrations with a school information system, examination platforms or accounting are custom work on the same engine, scoped in a week and quoted per release. Customised or more complex functionality is quoted separately before any work starts.
A worked example
A private school with nine hundred students sends announcements by three channels, collects fees at a counter and hears from parents by phone. On the white label education app, students, parents and classes are imported, the timetable is set, and fee schedules are loaded. Announcements go to every family in one action with read receipts; fees are paid in the app with reminders before the due date; homework and grades appear the day they are entered. Within a term the office knows which families have not read a notice, arrears fall, and the phone rings for questions the app cannot answer, which the console lists.
Attendance, homework and grades
Teachers mark attendance in a tap; a parent sees an absence within minutes. Homework is set per class with a due date and a submission in the app; marking and comments return to the student and the parent. Grades are entered per assessment and roll into a report the parent reads without waiting for term end. Each of these removes a message, a call or a printout.
Privacy and safeguarding
Parents see only their own children. Teachers see their own classes. Messages between students and staff are visible to administration. Photos and documents have expiring links and require sign-in. Data lives in a project in the school’s name in the region it chooses, with every access logged. The school sets retention and answers a parent’s data request from the export.
Events, transport and the canteen
Events with tickets and permissions, transport routes with pick-up times and driver status, and a canteen wallet topped up by parents and spent by students are configurations switched on per school. Each removes a paper form or a cash transaction, and each shows its numbers in the console.
Reports the school reads
Families active in the app. Messages read within a day by class. Attendance by class and trend. Fees due, paid and in arrears by grade. Homework submitted on time. Events booked. Exports for the board and the auditor. All in the console, updated as the day happens.
Ownership of the data
Student, parent and staff data live in a dedicated cloud project in the school’s name, in the region it chooses, exportable at any time. Store and payment accounts are the school’s. No commission on fees, and no credentials retained by GBCORP after a hand-over unless a support contract requires them.
Questions we hear first
Can it replace our school management system?
For many schools, yes; where a system must stay, the app syncs with it as an extension.
Do we need separate apps for parents and students?
One app with roles; a parent and a student sign in to the same app and see their own screens.
Where is student data stored?
In a dedicated cloud project in the school’s name, in the region it chooses, exportable at any time.
Can it run classes and exams too?
Yes. Live and recorded classes, question banks and mock tests are part of the platform, switched on per school.
