White Label Customer Portal: What It Does and What It Costs
Every month someone in your team attaches an invoice to an e-mail, then answers the reply asking for last quarter’s statement. A customer portal ends that loop: the customer signs in under your brand and finds it.

A white label customer portal is a secure, branded place where your customers sign in and find everything they need from you: invoices, receipts and statements, the history of their orders and requests, the documents you share with them, and a way to ask for something new. It runs on your domain and in your app, under your name. GBCORP’s customer portal is a finished engine already in production, so a business launches its own on the web, iOS and Android within days at a flat monthly plan, instead of commissioning one from scratch.
What a customer portal replaces
| Task | Without a portal | With the portal |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice copies | An e-mail request, a search in accounts, an attachment | Every invoice and receipt, always there |
| Statements | Prepared by hand at month end, sent on request | Current statement, downloadable at any time |
| Contracts and certificates | Searched for in shared drives, sent again | Shared once per customer, with access history |
| Order and request status | A telephone call or a chain of e-mails | Status and history on one screen |
| New requests and quotes | Free-text e-mails that get lost | A structured request, answered from a console |
| Forgotten passwords | A call to support | A single-use reset link, sent from your own mailbox |
Each row is a small cost on its own. Together they are the reason customer-facing teams spend whole days on work that answers no new question. The portal does not remove the team; it removes the repeats, so the team’s time goes to the requests that need a person.
What GBCORP’s portal includes
- Invoices, receipts and statements for each customer account.
- Order and request history, so the customer sees what happened and when.
- Documents and downloads: contracts, certificates, datasheets and reports shared per customer, with a record of who opened what.
- Requests and support: customers raise requests and ask for quotes from the portal; your team answers from a console.
- A branded sign-in on your domain, on the web and in the app.
- iOS, Android and the web from one codebase, with store listings in your name handled by GBCORP.
- Multilingual, with right-to-left layouts included where a language needs them.
Security a customer can trust
A portal holds financial documents and contracts, so the sign-in has to be strong without being difficult. GBCORP’s portal enforces the password policy on the server rather than in the browser, sends single-use reset links that expire, and sends every account e-mail from your own mailbox, so a customer never receives a message from a name they do not recognise. Your domain carries DMARC and DNSSEC. The data sits in a dedicated project in your name and can be exported at any time. Nothing runs under a third-party brand.
What your team sees
The console is where the portal is run. Requests and quote requests arrive in one queue with the customer’s account and history beside them, so whoever answers sees the context without searching. Documents are shared with one customer or a group of customers, and the access history shows who opened what and when, which settles the familiar “we never received it” conversation. Invitations and account status are visible per customer. Because the portal runs on the same engine as GBCORP’s other white-label apps, engine updates roll out to it automatically, and hosting is included in the plan.
One portal, several markets
A business that sells across borders runs one portal, configured per market: languages, currency, tax rules, payment provider and domain. A customer sees the portal in their language and their currency; your team works in one console. Adding a market is a configuration, not a second project.
Who uses one
| Business | What customers come back for |
|---|---|
| B2B suppliers and distributors | Invoices, statements, price lists, delivery documents, reorders |
| Professional services and consultancies | Engagement letters, reports, invoices, document requests |
| Utilities and subscription businesses | Bills, payment history, contract terms, service requests |
| Property managers and landlords | Leases, statements, maintenance requests, notices |
| Schools and training providers | Fees, certificates, timetables, enrolment documents |
From portal to platform
A portal is often the first branded login a business gives its customers, and it does not have to be the last. The same engine adds loyalty, payments or ordering later without a new sign-in, so a customer who checks invoices today can pay them, reorder or collect rewards tomorrow in the same account. Card payments settle to your own payment-gateway account, and GBCORP takes no commission on them.
A worked example
Picture a distributor with four hundred trade customers and two people who spend their mornings sending invoice copies, statements and product certificates by e-mail. On the portal, every customer gets a branded login on the distributor’s domain; invoices and statements appear as they are issued; certificates are shared once per customer; and reorder requests arrive in the console with the customer’s history attached. The two people now handle the requests that need judgement, and the monthly statement run becomes a report rather than a project.
Rolling the portal out to customers
Launch is a configuration, not a build: your brand, domain and the documents and records the portal should show. Customers are invited by e-mail from your own mailbox, with a link that sets their password. Start with the customers who ask most often; within weeks the invitations explain themselves, because the alternative is waiting for an e-mail reply. Keep the old route open for a month, then point every request for a copy to the portal.
Configure or build
| Route | Time to live | Pricing model | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Branded customer portal | One to five working days after brand assets and domain access | Flat monthly plan | Invoices, documents, requests, branded sign-in |
| Portal plus integrations | A release of a few weeks per integration | Fixed quotation per release | Data from your accounting or order system, imported on a schedule |
| Custom portal | Weeks to months | Fixed quotation | Flows no configuration covers |
Checklist before launch
- The documents and records each customer should see.
- Where they come from today: your accounting system, order system or shared drive.
- The request types customers should raise, and who answers each.
- Your domain, brand assets and the mailbox the portal sends from.
- The first group of customers to invite.
- The number to watch: requests for copies that still arrive by e-mail.
The numbers to expect
The GBCORP White-Label Customer Portal is a flat $99 a month for the standard configuration, with hosting and engine updates included. Launch typically takes one to five working days after brand assets and domain access, and work starts the same week as the purchase or quotation. Customised or more complex functionality is quoted separately before any work starts.
Questions we hear first
Can customers use it on their phones?
Yes. The portal runs on the web and as an app on iOS and Android from one codebase, under your name in both stores.
Can it show data from our accounting system?
Yes, as an integration release: invoices and statements are imported on a schedule. Until then, documents can be uploaded per customer in the console.
Who owns the customer data?
You do. It sits in a dedicated project in your name and can be exported at any time.
Can we add payments later?
Yes. Loyalty, payments or ordering are added to the same engine without a new sign-in, and card payments settle to your own gateway account.
