White Label App Development Company: What GBCORP Provides

Published October 6, 2023 · 6 min read

A white label app development company supplies a finished app engine and delivers it under other businesses' brands. GBCORP is one, and this is what that means in practice, from the range to the contract.

White Label App Development Company: What GBCORP Provides

GBCORP is a white label app development company: it builds and runs an app engine covering the common business app types, and delivers configurations of that engine to businesses and agencies under their own brands. A client gets an app in the stores in its own name within days, at a flat monthly plan, with its data in its own project and its payments in its own gateway account. GBCORP keeps the engine current for every client at once, which is the economic reason white label exists.

The range on one engine

Brand and accounts in the client’s name

The app carries the client’s name, icon, colours and type. The store listing shows the client as publisher. The web app runs on the client’s domain, e-mails come from its mailbox, and policies sit on its site. Data lives in a dedicated cloud project in the client’s name, exportable at any time. Payments settle to the client’s own gateway with no commission.

The agency route

Agencies resell the range under their own brand at a partner rate, configure clients from a partner console, and keep the client relationship. GBCORP stays invisible to the end customer. Custom releases for an agency’s client are quoted to the agency and delivered on the same engine.

What the company keeps doing after launch

Operating-system and store-rule updates, security patches, engine improvements and new configurations reach every client app under the plan. The support plan adds monitoring, response times by severity and hours for small changes. A white label company that stops maintaining the engine leaves every client app to age at once, which is why the group runs its own products on it.

Checklist before signing with any white label company

  • Whose name is on the store listing and the payment account.
  • Whether the plan is flat or takes a commission.
  • Where the data lives and who can export it.
  • What the exit clause returns.
  • Whether custom features are possible, and how they are priced.
  • Which apps the company runs itself.

The numbers to expect

Live within one to five working days on the web, store listings after review, a flat monthly plan, no commission. Custom releases at a fixed price each. Customised or more complex functionality is quoted separately before any work starts.

A worked example

A marketing agency with thirty local clients wants to offer each an app without hiring developers. On the agency route, it configures client apps from a partner console, each with the client’s brand, store listing, gateway and data, and bills its clients at its own price above the partner rate. A restaurant client gets ordering and loyalty; a salon gets booking; a property manager gets the portal. The agency has launched twelve client apps in its first quarter, and its clients have never heard of GBCORP.

What the plan covers, and what is a release

The plan covers the engine, its updates, hosting in the client’s project, store updates and the configurations the range already offers. A release is a feature the range does not have: a custom flow, an integration, a report. Releases are quoted per item, with a date, before they start, and the feature stays the client’s. The line is drawn in writing in the quotation, so a client knows in advance what will cost more.

Compliance and store rules

Store rules change several times a year, and an app that ignores them is removed. Because every client app is a configuration of one engine, a rule change is handled once and shipped to all. Content moderation for apps with user-generated content, account deletion, privacy labels and payment rules are all handled in the engine. The client sees an update note; it does not see the work.

Data isolation between clients

Each client’s data lives in its own cloud project, not in a shared database with a client column. A client can be exported, moved or deleted without touching another. Access by GBCORP staff is logged and limited to support cases. Enterprise clients ask for this, and every client gets it.

Custom on top of white label

A client that needs a feature the range lacks commissions it as a release on the same core: scoped, priced, dated, delivered in a fortnight or two, retested with every engine update, and owned by the client. The white label plan and the custom release coexist, so a business never has to choose between speed and difference.

Ownership terms

Brand, data and accounts are the client’s. Store and payment accounts are in its name. Data is exportable at any time. Custom releases are the client’s. No commission on sales, and no credentials retained after a hand-over unless a support contract requires them.

Questions we hear first

What does white label mean at GBCORP?

A shared engine, configured per client, delivered under the client’s brand with its own accounts and data.

Can two clients in the same city use the same engine?

Yes. Each has its own brand, data and settings; neither can see the other.

Can we add features other clients do not have?

Yes, as priced releases on the same core; they stay yours.

Is there a minimum term?

Plans are monthly; the terms are in the quotation before any work starts.
