Though many of you have already begun interacting with others in real-time in digital spaces, this technology is still budding with advancements that we never anticipated. More companies are taking the plunge to test the metaverse in their own ways and still, a bunch of them are reluctant to test it out.

It is a synergy of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and any other form of mixed reality (MR). These emerging technologies have applications not only in gaming but also in the medical field, modeling, and retail. The main role in this technology would be extended reality architect.

Now is the time for the Phygital digital twin. It is the concept of creating the real world virtually—be it an object, product, or process. This is newly emerging across industries. Information technology plays a crucial role in this emergence, as data transfer from the real world is the basic component of creating a digital twin in a virtual realm. 

Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

RPA is where you use software and information technology to automate the repetitive business processes that employees currently do. Responding to emails, interpreting applications, processing requests, etc. are some repetitive tasks that people in multiple business sectors do. The role of RPA is to automate them and alter the way they work. The designations of these RPA’s would be RPA Developer, Analyst, or Architect.

According to a McKinsey research study, it is anticipated that about 5% of occupations can be 100% automated and about 60% of occupations can be half-automated.

Cyber Resilience

In the last decade, you might have heard about data threats, which have emphasized the importance of cyber security. This year, it is not cyber security that is the talk of the town. Instead, it is something that’s upscaled—cyber resilience. It involves technologies like cyber defense automation or AI integration, integration of cyber defense frameworks,  continuity protocols, etc. In simple words, when cyber threats are upgraded, so are cyber defense or cyber security technologies.
